, United States- Siloam Stone, Inc. was founded in 1973 by Ferd Mueller, a Ceramic Engineer and entrepreneur. The original mine site was opened in 1955 for the rich fire clay deposit which was ideal for refractories manufacturing. The fireclay mineral is still utilized today in the manufacturing process of structural clay products.
